At our next meeting on Wednesday 1st April local lad, Andy Laird, will be telling us all about the “Rapid Blocks” system he invented in his father’s garage. It allows him and his team him to create slalom water courses for kayaking competitions all over the world, including the Olympics.

Hello and a Happy New Year
I hope that you have had a wonderful Christmas and are raring to go in 2026. Our various group leaders have been working really hard and have a great year lined up with some great speakers and lots of activities planned. I know that the weather has been awful recently but this is all the more reason to join us in the warm every other Wednesday for our main group meetings where friendly people, an interesting speaker, great coffee and delicious cake are waiting for you.
